The vision for RGM was born from a deep connection to place, memory, and the values passed down through generations.
Growing up in Anakapalli, shaped by the Penkutillu that his great-grandfather built in 1959, Ravi developed an appreciation for homes that are thoughtfully designed — spaces that carry meaning beyond their structure.
This project is not driven by scale or profit.
It is driven by belief.
The belief that a home should reflect intention, restraint, and respect for the people who will live in it — values learned from a family that built with care, and a great-grandfather who built to endure.

From a single Penkutillu in 1959 to the foundation of RGM in 2024, this journey is shaped by roots, transitions, and moments that quietly defined the path forward.

In 1959, the family's great‑grandfather built the first Penkutillu in Anakapalli
Built with sloping clay tiles, natural ventilation, and proportionate spaces, the Penkutillu stood as a quiet symbol of foresight.
1989 — Growing Up with Roots

In 1989, the journey became deeply personal.
Ravi Janapareddy moved to Kotturur, Anakapalli, leaving parents behind in Jamshedpur, to be brought up at Nannamma's home.
2002 — A Turning Point
2002 — A Turning Point
Life brought change.
In 2002, the passing of Grandfather marked the end of one chapter.
It was a moment of loss, but also reflection — about family, legacy, and what it means to carry forward what was built before.
2004 — Return & Reunion

By 2004, the family returned to Kotturu, Anakapalli permanently — leaving Tata, reuniting, and settling back into the land that had always felt like home.
This was not just a geographical move. It was a homecoming.
What followed was not a decision to start something new, but the quiet preparation to continue something meaningful.
